Alicia and her family relocated to Moses Lake, Washington from Manitoba, Canada; as her husband received a transfer with work. Always looking for a challenge and a way to broaden her experiences in life; making the move was a welcome adventure. After a four years in manufacturing working the production floor Alicia went back to school and earned her A. Degree in Business Administration and a 2nd in Payroll Administration. She went to work for a Furnishing company and worked her way to being a partner in her own 20,000 sq. foot retail store; that she ran very successfully and profitably for 10 years.
“The experience I gained in owing and running my own store has given me invaluable insight to daily challenges of a business owner. My greatest successes came from my people. Their successes became my own and I learned to pour my efforts into them as they were my greatest asset and I needed to be their champion”
Alicia has a passion for learning. While running her store she earned her Diploma in Interior Design to help provide the best experience for her customers she could while being an asset to her sales staff.
After relocating Alicia found herself with the opportunity to explore her career and it’s direction. She again returned to schooling and became a certified Motivational speaker. She worked with some non-profit organizations and immersed herself in community efforts such as PTA’s, volunteering and recreational coaching. After getting her Real Estate License she became a Property Manager and worked to build her business as well as continue to coach Gymnastics.
“My decision to come to BBSI was my way of going back to what mattered most to me; People. I wanted to take my experiences and knowledge and help both businesses & also individuals find their personal successes. My philosophy for life and work is that people need to see the value in whatever job they are doing, and to work hard to live your dreams. I want to share that with people.”
“I look forward to continuing to learn about our new home and get to meet new people. Give me a call or an email if you want to discuss how I can help you help yourself.”
